Billy is Mick's pet. He's very tall and jumps very high. He's also very clumsy and breaks everything in sight. Billy always helps his owner with "the cowboy stuff" and is loved by everybody. He has many kangaroo friends, too, and loves telling stories. One of Billy's favourite stories is the one that explains the origin of the word "KANGAROO":

'When the first Englishmen arrived in Australia, they saw our ancestors and asked the natives Aborigines what kind of animals we were. The natives did not understand a word of English, and answered "kangaroo, kangaroo", which means, "I don't understand" in their language…'- says Billy laughing!!!
